How You Can Help

  • Volunteers play an essential role at Grace Hospice, helping patients enjoy life to the fullest. Because everyone has unique talents and skills, volunteer tasks are assigned based on what they most enjoy doing.

Volunteer Services:

  • Bedside Emotional Support Team: The BEST volunteers provides a loving, caring and peaceful atmosphere during the transition process of our patient or when additional companionship is needed. Specially trained volunteers sit at the patients bedside for up to four hour shifts as an additional service to the professional care team. These volunteers must complete the general volunteer application process and training in addition to advanced BEST training.

  • Visiting Volunteer: ¬†Share your friendship with hospice patients and family members through social visits and caregiver relief.¬†

  • Student Service: We are a Tulsa Achieves volunteer agency

  • Bereavement Volunteer: Support grieving families with friendly visits and phone calls.

  • Therapeutic Specialty Volunteers: Provide services such as massage and pet therapy. some areas of service require certification.

  • Administrative Volunteers: Provide clerical and project support at our business office.

  • Events Volunteers: Help us spread the hospice philosophy by assisting with events and public relations.

  • Special Projects Volunteers: Help patients and families by assisting with tasks such as yard work, cleaning and laundry. Student service teams are encourages to apply.

  • Arts and Crafts Volunteers:Support our patients and families with creative talents such as sewing, knitting and crocheting useful items.
